***Look for Series 2 coming very soon.***

Individual cards are still available on eBay, my seller name is ctnwblog_8.

As I said, set 2 is coming soon.  Cards are currently at the printer.  There will be 12 cards, half from my "Barrier-Breakers" series, half will be superstars that had recently passed away. Plus there will be another insert card. If you follow me on twitter, you may have seen a spoiler or two.

*****************************************************************

As promised, I now have packs of physical Cards That Never Were.  I am selling these through this site only for $10.00 per pack plus $4.00 shipping. Please use the link:

You can also buy them individually on eBay. My seller's name there is ctnwblog_8.

So, what's in each pack?

12 Cards That Never Were plus an insert Card That Wasn't and of course, Bazooka bubble gum.

The insert card is a 1969 Nolan Ryan Deckle.

All cards are professionally printed.

Front and Back.

The backs are formatted in a style consistent with their year.

The front of the cards are glossy.

The backs are not.

These are similar in look and feel to the Topps Archives cards.

I hope you enjoy these cards,

As much as I did making them.

For those that wish to buy the cards individually,

They are currently available on eBay.

My user name on eBay is ctnwblog_8.

  1. Unable to use your checkout links . . . won't accept my PayPal login, even though I'm currently logged in to PayPal on my computer

    1. I think I got it now. Not sure why buttons won't work here. They are working on Twitter. The link here is no longer a button. But at least it works. Thanks for your patience. This is a new thing for me and I've obviously had some problems.

  4. A day later, still unable to use any of those three payment links. Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble with it?

  5. I received my cards (Koufax, Paige, Bouchee, Ryan, Sandberg/Boggs) on 11/3. The high gloss fronts are great. (Leaves other custom sellers in the dust.)

  6. Received my cards today - they look great and I know I will enjoy them. I noticed there's no card #2, no #6, and 2 #7s. Is that intentional?

  7. #2 was actually card 145*. I wanted to keep the number because Bouchee supposedly was the missing 145 from the 1958 set. I think I put an asterisk by the number. The two number 7's was just a brain f@rt.

  8. I've been making my own custom cards for years. Started out using scotch tape on newspaper photos and cigarette packs. Now use matte photo paper, computer images, then glue stick them on to cardboard (usually an old '80s card) What's your secret? Type of cardstock, model of printer. So many rookies and player movement, so little time. Thanks for any advice.

    1. No real secret, I have been making cards for this blog for over 10 years now. I tried several ways to make my own physical copies but was never satisfied. I finally bit the bullet and had them professionally made. 18 point card stock with a glossy UV coating on the front, matte on the back.

Unfortunately, not cheap plus I had to buy in bulk. That is why I am selling these cards. To support my own addiction. I've been lucky so far that there has been enough interest in my cards that I can keep making them without losing (too much) money.
I am always looking for a way to make these cards (affordably) for myself or in very small batches, but haven't had any luck.I wish I could be of more help.

  9. I'm amazed by the number of (apparently) Topps photos that are out there. I'm only interested in Expos pics and don't do anything with the watermarks. Any secret sources you can tell me about? For current cards, I don't worry about copyrights because they're just for me.

    1. The old Topps photos were on eBay. Unfortunately, not downloadable anymore. Haven't had any luck finding them lately. Occasionally, I find them on the OOTP forums. Sorry not much help.
